Dubai is starting the year off in the best way possible: with lots of outdoor activities, including one of the best sporting events for the whole family: the CBD run on the Palm.

March 5th will be the day when people will be able to run all across the Palm Jumeirah, kicking things off at Nakheel Mall, running up the trunk, through the tunnel and then onto the crescent. As this run is for everyone, there are three different categories you can choose depending on what you wish and your expertise level.

Organized by the Commercial Bank of Dubai, the run will offer hydration during the circuit, and parking spaces are guaranteed. This event promises to be massive, as the expected attendance number is 5,000 people!

Beginners are welcomed

Kids and adults can attend as they wish, however, the organization suggests running only 1K with children and only 3K if you’re a first-time runner. They also encourage people to consider the weather conditions, as it will be a sunny day with almost no shade.

Starting point

You can easily park your car at the Nakheel Mall at The Palm Dubai, that’s the starting point.

The doors will open at 5:30 am, but the run will kick off at 6:30 am, so you’ll be able to enjoy the beautiful views from across the Palm, while the sun starts to rise in the horizon.

Different options including a half marathon

You can choose the 5K, 10K and even the 21.1K created for the experts, which will also be the first half-marathon of the Palm!

All three options offer the same package: an event t-shirt, a winner’s medal, and a division between age groups (16-19 | 20-29 | 30-39 | 40-49 | 50-59 | 60+).

All three categories will offer a monetary price, going from 3,600 AED for the 5K winner, 5,500 AED for the 10K winner, and finally, 12,000 AED for the 21.1K winner.
