Dwayne Johnson gives his Key to success

Dwayne 'The most famous Rock in the world' Johnson

Known for his great movies and his past as a professional wrestler, Dwayne Johnson is also known for his recurrent motivational speeches regarding mind and body wellness, and he recently gave us another example of this by posting a pretty inspiring text on his Instagram account.

The talented actor commented on how a simple mentality shift in how he approaches his day to day has changed his life for the better. In the caption of a photo where we can see a post-workout Dwayne wearing a ‘Respect the grind’ t-shirt he states: ‘When it comes to hard work and things I’m passionate about – years ago, I stopped saying “I have to” and started saying “I get to”.

Although it may seem like a futile piece of advice at first, it is actually a pretty valuable philosophy lesson that, if implemented, can certainly help anyone achieve success, not only in terms of fitness but also in terms of life in general.

Having to do things is not pleasant, but getting to do things is a privilege

‘The Rock’ continued to share some examples of what would be ideal scenarios to apply this mentality and wrote: ‘I “get to” train hard and push myself to the breaking point. I “get to” get my ass kicked and come back stronger. I “get to” be the hardest worker in the f*cking room.’ and then added ‘Because when you “get to” do the things you love – it’s a privilege.’

Johnson is a strong believer of the fact that changing the perception around an exercise or pretty much any other activity that’s not related to fitness can help you conquer it. He proceeded to conclude his message by encouraging his followers to give this mentality a try, and experience how going from “have to” to “get to” will allow them to start feeling ‘that grind, gratitude & growth.’
