Last year, Ethiopian and Kenyan athletes dominated the half marathon, bagging several medals. Ethiopia’s Ababel Yeshaneh broke the RAK women world record after clocking 64 minutes and 31 seconds in a 21.0975-kilometer race. World Athletics has ratified the new record set by Yeshaneh.
