Considered one of the best football players in history, Cristiano Ronaldo is not only a role model for the younger generations but also a worldwide star that gets surrounded by fans everywhere he goes.
After several visits, the football star has made it very clear that he’s a fan of the UAE, as he has visited Dubai several times, and hung out in the most exclusive places and events the city has to offer.
Dubai, Christiano Ronaldo's second home
Cristiano is good friends with Sheik Hamdan bin Mohammed, crown prince of Dubai, with whom he shared several pics on his instagram profile calling him “his bro”.
Since 2018, the two of them have hung out a couple of times, always in the most exclusive hotels and sports centers, as it seems to be a passion they share. During this visit, Cristiano shared his evening at the Aura Sky pool, the world’s highest 360-degree infinity pool. Located on the 50th floor of The Palm Tower, the pool offers a perfect view of the Palm Jumeirah.
Even though the Premier League was technically on a break, Cristiano and the other players of the Manchester United team took advantage of the warm weather for some training. The exclusive Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex was the location chosen for the club to keep its players up with their intense training schedules.
Always sport in mind
This isn’t the first time an English football team has chosen the spectacular Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex for training sessions in the Middle East, as the Arsenal Football Club players were also training there during the Premier League winter break. This Sport Complex offers everything elite athletes and teams need to train, recover from injuries and even monitor their performances; including gyms, changing rooms, medical facilities, and two FIFA-standard football pitches.
For CR7, this wasn’t the first time he enjoyed the Sport Complex’ facilities, as he had already made a visit and trained there in 2018. This time, he was spotted several times and even trained alongside his oldest son Cristiano Jr.
During this visit, he also spent some quality time with his family, and even made a big gesture to his current girlfriend and mother of three of his children, Georgina Rodrigues. For Georgina’s birthday, and as a celebration of her new reality show on Netflix, Cristiano gifted her a special display on the Burj Khalifa with her picture all across the building and the message “Happy Birthday Gio”.

His most awaited appearance was for a special event at the Dubai Expo 2020. While gathered by a crowd of thousands of fans, CR7 appeared in the Al Wasl Plaza and spoke to the people who look after him about his fitness journey and how important it is to treat your body with respect.
Considering that he just turned 37 and that most football players retire near their forties, Cristiano explained that he maintains a good shape for his age because he takes care of his body and keeps a healthy lifestyle.
As most of CR7 fans are young children and teenagers, he mentioned how important it is to do physical activities instead of being obsessed with technology. He explained that, even when we’re surrounded by technology and can take advantage of it, our physical health should be a priority, and that’s why he hasn’t gifted his son Cristiano Jr a cell phone just yet, as he thinks he’s still too young for that.
His appearance on the Expo 2020 Dubai was part of the fitness and wellness week of the exhibition.
